Our Story

The Imagine That journey first began in Manchester as an open-ended University project. In 2015 we brought the project back to our hometown, Bristol.

As a collective we organise gigs to support local artists and independent venues at grass-roots level. Over the years we’ve had the pleasure of working with some of Bristol’s most iconic venues putting on an eclectic mix of talented bands/artists from around the UK.

Over the years we have become inspired to work towards opening a small Bristol cafe-cum-venue of our own. In 2019 we took the first step to this eventual goal in opening a mobile cafe, enter ‘Imagine That: Coffee’. We spent our first year of trading building up experience at various small-scale events before securing our first full-time pitch on the Bristol Marina in 2020.

Our gig nights continue to happen across the city, for listings and sample playlists head to the [ music ] page. Meanwhile, we’re beginning to build our identity as a Bristol cafe down on The Marina. You can read about this on the [ cafe ] page. You can also keep tabs on any other business by following our socials, all linked below.
